Having a bad trip right now?
If you're having a difficult experience, remember: you are safe, the feeling is temporary, and it will pass.
Try to find a comfortable, quiet place. Breathe slowly. Drink some water. Having a trusted friend nearby can help.
Why edibles are stronger
When you eat cannabis, your liver converts THC into 11-hydroxy-THC, which crosses the blood-brain barrier more effectively and produces a more intense, longer-lasting effect than inhaled THC. This is why edibles hit harder and last longer — often 4–8 hours — compared to smoking.
The delay (30 minutes to 2 hours) before effects kick in is the most common reason people overconsume edibles. Use our dosage calculator to plan a safe dose before you start.
